About Us

Friends Paw Life is a licensed dog daycare, home boarding, training, and walking service based at Rookwood Cottage, Frith Hill, Great Missenden, HP16 0QS — in the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We have been caring for dogs across the Aylesbury-to-Great Missenden corridor since 2019, collecting daily from Aylesbury, Wendover, Aston Clinton, Weston Turville, Stoke Mandeville, Monks Risborough, Prestwood, Halton, and Princes Risborough.

Our Licences

Friends Paw Life holds two active animal activity licences issued by the local authority under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) (England) Regulations 2018:

Both licences cover day care and home boarding activities. We are also fully insured. Copies of our licences are available on request.

How We Operate

Daycare takes place at our Great Missenden facility — purpose-built outdoor themed areas and a dedicated indoor retreat. Home boarding is provided from a private family home in Aylesbury, where dogs are cared for as part of the household. Dogs booked on boarding join the daycare group at our Great Missenden facility during the day and return to Aylesbury overnight. A free pick-up and drop-off service runs the full Aylesbury-to-Great Missenden route every day, and every dog on our books travels the same consistent route regardless of size or breed.

Training as Standard

Every dog in our daycare receives basic obedience training as part of the daily programme — not as a paid add-on. Our team works on socialisation, recall, lead manners, and general obedience throughout the day. Dogs come home well-exercised and better behaved.

Boneyard: Get ready for action! Boneyard is our spacious playground where dogs can run, jump, and play to their heart’s content. With agility equipment and plenty of space, it’s a haven for the active and energetic.
Green Lawns: Our expansive green lawns are perfect for running freely, playing fetch, and making new furry friends. There’s always something fun happening on the green!
Woodland Adventures: Adventure awaits in the surrounding woodlands! Regular trips to explore the woods offer new sights, smells, and experiences for curious canines.
The Dog House: When it’s time to rest, the Dog House is the coziest spot around. This indoor haven is perfect for naps, cuddles, and lots of attention from our loving staff. It’s the ultimate chill-out zone between playtimes.
